Extended days in main Tanglewood

We have limited availability for 30-hour places at Tanglewood.  Children will attend their core sessions (9am - 12noon or 12.45pm - 3.45pm) for 5 days a week, and have the option to stay for lunch and join up to an additional session.  A full day runs from 9am - 3.45pm.

Our extended offer includes 2, 3, or 5 sessions at the start or end of the week, with a minimum of 2 sessions (no single sessions offered) 

• 2 sessions: Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday
• 3 sessions; Monday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Friday 

To check 30-hour working families funding eligibility, click on the link below   -    https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-childcare-if-youre-working.You MUST apply for funding the term before you want your child to start extended days as funding will not start until the following term. (process takes approximately 10 days)   Once you have your eligibility code, email us a screenshot along with your NI number. 

For those families not eligible for 30hour funding sessions cost, £29.50 each, this will rise to £32.50 in line with government funding for September 2025. 

Lunchtime is included in the extended sessions for everyone, (these 45mins are not charged for,) but please bring a healthy, nut free packed lunch. - Lunch box letter for parents

Once we have sent confirmation of sessions by email, an invoice for these extended sessions will be sent separately within two working days. Please note that once the invoice is issued, one months written notice and payment will be required if you wish to cancel the extended sessions.  THIS MEANS YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY.

Private fund payments will increase for additional sessions, covering snacks, materials & activities.   £1 a session, £2 for an extended day. 

To join the extended hours waiting list, you must email us with:

• Your child's name and class (If already at Tanglewood or in Little Tanglewood.)    If you are interested in extended sessions and your child is on our waiting list please email in and ask to be added to the extended waiting list as soon as a place is offered. 
• Your 30-hour funding code or indicate if its a paid place.
• Preference for full 30 hours or 2/3 extended sessions with preferred days (subject to availability)
