Tanglewood

Tanglewood is a Mainstream Local Education Autority Nursery School for 3 to 4 year olds.

We have 3 classrooms, which each cater for up to 26 children per session.

Each classroom has 3 nursery nurses who are supported by the teacher team who work across all 3 classrooms, allowing us a ratio of 1-8 in each room.

We offer a limited number of 30hour places on top of your core 15hour free funding sessions. Children can attend their core sessions (9am - 12noon or 12.45pm - 3.45pm) for 5 days a week, stay for lunch, and join for an additional session. A full day runs from 9am - 3.45pm.

Our extended offer includes 2, 3 or 5 sessions at the start or end of the week, with a minimum of 2 sessions per week. Fees are payable monthly.

We accept 30 hours working families funding or sessions can be paid for at £29.50 each, this will rise to £32,50 inline with government funding for September 2025. (Lunchtime is included, but bring a healthy, nut-free packed lunch.) Please ring or email the office for more information.

Each class base is well resourced and develops across the year based on the needs and interests of the children. In addition to this, each classroom has access to the Tanglewood Garden and Forest Garden which provide a wide range of opportunities for children to further enrich their learning at Tanglewood.
